I grew up with the Peanuts Gang. While everyone remembers A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Linus and Lucy theme from the Vince Guaraldi Trio, I always loved the halloween special from 1966. It’s full of the same comedy, and retrospectives on commercialism and tradition as the Christmas Special.

While Linus is waiting for The Great Pumpkin, the rest of the gang goes trick-or-treating. Chocolate and candy abound, except for poor Charlie Brown.
Sometimes we come out of a strategy meeting, and Charlie Brown has the only proper refrain for how it turned out: “I got a rock.”
